This is Skogafoss, a 60 meter high waterfall in the south of Iceland. When you’re early in the morning you got the place for yourself. At daytimes busses with tourist come and go here…



At the eastern side of the waterfall, a hiking and trekking trail leads up to the pass Fimmvörðuháls between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. It goes down to Þórsmörk on the other side and continues as the famous Laugavegur to Landmannalaugar. It is the most beautiful trail I’ve ever walked. It will take you approx. five days to complete… I have a few photo’s of the trail in my photostream.
